Logos are optional. Shirts and blouses may be purchased from vendors other than uniform companies, but must be free of all writing, logos, and emblems. Additional items such as v-neck or cardigan sweaters or vests (navy, maize, evergreen), belts (black or brown) and blazers (navy) may be purchased.

Shoes

On P.E. days students must wear white or black athletic shoes with white or non-skid soles. Other days, students may wear white or black athletic shoes or black, navy or brown dress shoes. The sole of the student’s shoe should be flat. Sling backs, clogs and open-toed shoes are not permitted. White, navy, black, or khaki socks or tights must be worn. Young ladies may wear ankle socks, knee socks or hose.

Violations

A student who violates dress code guidelines will receive a violation slip from his teacher to be sent home for parent signatures. Slips should be returned the next school day. On the third offense, the student will not be admitted to class. A parent may bring a uniform to school or take the student home. If the student is taken home, it will count as an absence.

Rainbow and Casual Days

Students may alter their dress on Rainbow Days and Casual Days. Rainbow Days are scheduled for the 15th of every month or the closest school day. (If the 15th falls on a Saturday, Rainbow Day is Friday. If the 15th falls on a Sunday, Rainbow Day is Monday.) It is a day to express a rainbow of colors. Students may wear clothing other than uniforms, but jeans and T-shirts are not permitted.

Casual Days are scheduled periodically throughout the year. Parents are notified by the school through a letter or the calendar. On these days, students are permitted to wear jeans and T-shirts provided they are in good repair. Only Christian messages are permitted on T-shirts.

A student who does not comply with the dress code for a Rainbow or Casual Day will lose the privilege for the next Rainbow or Casual Day.
